To avoid this, pressure treated pine is chemically-treated in order to prevent against decay, termites, weathering, and other pine-related troubles. Pine has a conducive cell structure for easy absorption of the chemicals used in the treatment process. Many types of wood are not even candidates for pressure treatment.
It is recommended that all pressure treated pine fencing should be stained and sealed, to improve and maintain a handsome appearance and postpone rotting. Also, keeping your pressure treated pine fence wet when it is hot or exposed to the sun help keep the fence from cracking.
